Organizing at last.

This house has suffered from years of neglect and piling junk.I have spent a week cleaning up my basement.I spent another week overhauling my bonus room upstairs into an office/studio haven.I cannot rest until I have this house overhauled and out of the "piles",so I cannot really sit down to work on anything yet.
Shelves, bins, organizers of all types--these have been part of the re-tooling plant of these rooms, and most of it is good sturdy (but boring) plastic stuff from WalMart. But every now and then I find a little something that is so handy and so cute at the same time I have to give a squeal over it.
Meet the AMM Tote-Ally Cool Totes.
I now have three of these little things, in all different colors, and each one has a specific purpose. One is my desk organizer, another is for my work table, and the other I have packed and ready to go as a desk organizer when/if I get called in at Turner. It's amazing how much they can hold and hold it well.I wouldn't use it for heavy travel, as things could fall out the top, but for keeping things handy on a table or desk, and still being portable they are awesome.I got them at the Archiver's store near me. I don't scrapbook--I just put photos in albums and that's about the extent of it---but I still like to go to this store for various storage and art supplies.
I want more of these little things. My friend Joy has a bunch in several sizes, most of them monogrammed, and they work great for all her scrapbooking needs(she's really into it)and look so freakin' cute.

Re-Structuring.

I think I'm going to combine this blog to include my daily rumblings as well as creative thoughts and things. It's too tiring keeping up with a bunch of blogs.

Howard Stern Impersonator--Detag's Uncle

I'm beginning to think my friend Detag's family is simply born to perform. His uncle was recently on the show "The View" as a Howard Stern Impersonator. Despite the rather asisnine comments in the YouTube Peanut Gallery (which is pretty typical) I think he does a terrific job.
The link takes forever to load, but it's pretty amazing if you can at least watch the first minute or so.

Ragetti and Pintel.

I absolutely love these characters from the Pirates of the Carribbean movies,Pintel especially. They are a classic Laurel and Hardy team of the pirates era.

Mackenzie Crook and Lee Arenberg, the men behind the mayhem.Love these guys, what a team, what a team.
I wrote to Lee once and received a marvellous black-and-white autographed headshot AND a photo of him in costume, autographed with the quote "'ello, Poppet"!
That little gesture, in addition to his love of animals, makes me a fan for life.

Cap'n Jack's Leather-Faced Poppa.

Oh,my GOD.They got him to do it.They really got the crazy ol' bastard to do it.
Keith Richards, on the right, is Captain Teague, Jack's DAD.
I won't tell you about Jack's mum, though.Yet.

MotherLaffin'

This is my most favorite picture ever of my Mother.Summer 1982.

The Holy Grail's Been Found. Under Detag.

This sequence of pictures was taken when my friends and I went to see Spamalot when it came to Atlanta. Our pal Detag was sitting in the seat under which the Holy Grail had been hidden,so when Patsy came to fetch the Grail, great applause was given to Detag for keeping it safe!

He was brought up on stage!

He was given a tiny trophy shaped like the foot!

Everyone sang praises to him!

And he got his photo taken with the cast and was given a little scroll naming him the "Best Peasant".

We're so proud.:)
